The Old-Time Fiddlers' Festival is brought to you by Goleta Valley Historical Society, stewards of Rancho La Patera & Stow House.
“One of the oldest and most respected of Santa Barbara’s now vast and growing list of festivals, the Old-Time Fiddler’s Convention and Festival, takes its “old” status proudly and seriously, as part of its very core identity and mission. Modernity and future-think are scarcely considered, in a festival that pays homage to pre-20th century American music and its 21st century descendants.”
– Josef Woodard, Santa Barbara News-Press
Goleta Valley Historical Society will host the 46th Annual Old-Time Fiddlers' Convention & Festival at Rancho La Patera & Stow House on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Purchase tickets in advance.
The music festival features all day entertainment, one of the premier Old-Time Music contests on the West Coast, free workshops taught by some of the best teachers in the industry, opportunities to “jam” with other musicians, family friendly fun and much more.
The goal of the festival is to share and preserve Old-Time Music, an important part of our country’s rich heritage and encourage a new generation to embrace music. Music education opportunities such as free instrument workshops and led jam sessions will be hosted throughout the day. Children can even visit an Instrument Petting Zoo!
